How do I get there? Directions to Gateview
What does it cost to live at Gateview? That varies tremendously, based on the market. A two bedroom unit was selling in the $250,000 to $350,000 range as of September 2008. There are also 1 bedroom units and penthouse units. Renting an entire unit is probably in the $1500 to $2500 range, but your webmaster is purely guessing there. The monthly homeowners association dues are $479 for 2009 a 2-bedroom apartment -- they are less for 1 bedroom apartments and more for penthouses.

How do I get a garage key? Each resident with a car can get a SecuraCard for a $50 fee. If you are an owner, go to the GHOA Office to get the card and an ID sticker for your car. If you are a renter, ask your unit owner to get one for you.
Where is the gym? How do I get in? The gym is on the ground floor of the CJ building, just south of the lobby. The gym, sauna, and hot tub are all accessible via the regular common key.
Where is the laundry room? Gateview has two laundry rooms. The laundry room in building A/B is on the Lobby level of building A/B, past the elevators and down the hall to the right. The laundry room in building D/E/F is on the first floor, near Unit 133. (Please use only liquid HE detergent, per the instructions in the laundry room, and see the next two questions.)
When are the laundry rooms open? The laundry rooms are open from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, except, to allow time for cleaning, the A/B laundry room is open on Thursdays only from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM., and the D/E/F laundry room is open on Wednesdays only from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Where do I get a card to use the laundry machines? The washers and dryers in Gateview’s laundry rooms use reloadable cash cards for payment. Residents may purchase a laundry card, or may add value to a card, using accepted credit cards or debit cards. The machine for purchasing laundry cards or adding value to laundry cards is located on level G-3 in the parking garage, on the wall next to the Security Guard station.
Are pets allowed? Yes. A lot of people have dogs and cats, and they are allowed. Cats must be indoor cats, dogs can never be out without a leash.
Can I remodel my unit? Yes, you own it, so you can remodel it. However, you must check with the GHOA office first, they need to know what is going on, they often have very useful, even crucial, suggestions for you, they may require you to know the building codes, there may be restrictions, etc.
Note:If you are hiring contractors, schedule all work through the office, and note that it must be scheduled during weekdays and during the day, so as to minimize noise for your many neighbors.
What do we get for our homeowner's dues? There are four main areas where your money goes: (1) Security, (2) Maintenence & Repairs, (3) Amenities, (4) Management
  • 24-hour security is funded by your dues -- in most years there is not even a single burglary of anyone's home or a single mugging at our 487 unit complex.
  • The dues cover all needed maintenence and repairs of all buildings and common areas. Gateview owners have never had to pay a special assessment for repairs, an all too common event at many other homeowner-owned complexes. The building is getting older, and this is a growing proportion of the monthly dues.
  • The plaza, tennis courts, pool, gym, sauna, hot tub, table tennis room, package reception, recycling, window washing, landscaping, the walkway in the back, cheap and convenient laundry rooms, and more, are all funded by your dues.
  • With 487 units and approximately 1500 residents, full time professionals are needed to coordinate the care of the complex, serve the homeowners, handle questions, etc. Your dues take care of this expense, also.
  • Cable TV and water are included in the dues.
